January brought us some real opportunities for science experiences like deep snow, ice castles and making tunnels with rock salt in ice, and using table salt as "glue" to create our castles, whirlpools, aka "water tornados", engineering, learning about Antarctica, the Arctic and the animals there. We also learned about penguins, properties of water, polar bears, etc. We continue to practice name writing, counting and letter/number recognition, and all the skills we need.
