We have had a sensational September! Our number one goal this month is to build connections with the preschoolers and to help them build connections with each other. Some of our activities are pictured below. You will see lots of painting and using tongs and picking up very small things to improve our grasp and strength for writing. You will see lots of big body work, digging, climbing, imagination building, cooperation, bug hunting, group games, construction, and engineering. We have read many stories and learned many songs this month.
Some things to work on at home include, using polite terms like please, thank you, and I'm sorry. Putting on our own coats and learning how to zip. Not allowing your preschooler to grab things out of your hand and encouraging them to say, "I would like a turn with that."
Or "May I use that when you are done."
Or "how many minutes until it's my turn."
We are still trying to understand that sharing means "You take a turn, then I take a turn."
It does not mean that someone has to give you the thing you want instantly just because you sawit. :)
We are grateful for the opportunity to learn with your sweet children!
Bug hunting.
